Winter concert Rehearsal #1

 WINTER CONCERT

Harry Styles - Treat people with kindness

In Todays lesson we went over the song that we are going to be singing for the Suffolk One winter concert, which for us is Treat people with kindness by Harry Styles.

We started off by re visiting the song, and re grouping people into tenors, altos and sopranos. After we did this we sung through the song once to see what we all remember and then we went over the harmonies for all of the parts in the song. After we had gone over the harmonies we then continued to sing the song over and over so that we could polish it and make sure we smoothed and sorted out any issues that were happening with the song. Once we did this we recorded it so that we could look back at it and go over our harmonies.

Personally I believe that todays lesson went very well and we used the time very effectively to learn all of our harmonies. I am excited to keep working on this song with everyone and eventually perform it in the winter concert.

TODAYS WARM UP:

when it came to todays singing warm up we started doing shoulder rolls and head rolls, along with massages for our face muscles. After this we then did some breathing exercises, which included breathing in for four, holding for four and then out for four. We continued this for 6 and 8 counts. After this we did an exercise that we breathed in for 8 and then let the air out on a sss sound. After this we then went on to do some tongue twisters, for example which witch would wear which watch. After these we then went on to doing some sirening of the word sing and then some scales for our vowels. We then did some number scales, which included the 12345 54321 exercise.
