 SIX PROGRESS BLOG

In today's lessons, we worked on cleaning up and going through the numbers that had been completed and also we went through the blocking for the spoken bits for the queens and their understudy's.

SESSION ONE

In the first session we started off by doing a physical and vocal warm up to make sure that our body and voice was ready to rehearse the numbers that we have already finished in terms of Six the musical. These warm-ups were very helpful in making sure that knew our harmonies and dance moves that we have to do in each of the numbers throughout the show. Over the time that we did this for we used the time very effectively and got through most of the show. As a cast and ensemble i believe that we worked effectively in this time and we were able to clear up any areas of uncertainty when it came to the numbers we were on.

SESSION TWO 

In the second session it was only the understudies and the queens. In this rehearsal we went over all of the speaking scene. This rehearsal was mainly for the queens to make sure they knew their blocking and where they had to stand whilst also allowing the understudies to learn and watch where they need to be standing if they have to end up standing in for their character. I believe that i used this time effectively to see and write down all of my ques for just in case i need to step in at any time during the running of this show.

SESSION THREE

In the third and final session of the day we ran through six to make sure that the choreography was clean and sharp. After this, we ended up staging Mega-six and also the bows which are the numbers that come directly after six. We completed these quite fast which was impressive especially due to how complicated they were. 

Overall, i think that we used our rehearsal times well and effectively to make sure we got the most out of them so that our show can be as clean as possible when we go to preform it in 2 weeks.
