 FLASH MOB AT SUFFOLK ONE

Here is the video from the flash mob that I took part in at Suffolk One.  ^^

In this video you can see me and the rest of the cast for Six preforming two numbers from our show ( No way and Get down) in the form of a flash mod. Before we did the flash mob itself we spent some time planning out the numbers, how we could execute them in the space we had and when/ where we were going to do it.

STAGE ONE OF FLASH MOB : PLANNING

When we started our rehearsal time for this flash mob we started off by looking at the area we wished to use for our flash mob. Once we had located this area we took into consideration the amount of space we had to preform in and which numbers we could preform efficiently in that space. In the end we selected No way and Get down as our numbers, as these were two of the most high energy numbers that are in our show. So by preforming these two in the form of a flash mob will entice more people into wanting to come watch our show.

After we had selected our performance space along with the numbers we wished to preform we went straight into rehearsing them. Which included going over the song to make sure that all the vocals were strong and also making sure that the movements that went along with them were also strong and of good quality.

STAGE TWO OF THE FLASH MOB : PREFORMING

When it came to preforming in the style of a flash mob, this was the first time I had done something like this so it was quite daunting at first. When we stood about waiting for the sound crew to set up the music, the area slowly filled up and the amount of people that were standing around made me quite nervous but I knew I had to do it to over come the fear and develop myself as a performer.

Once we kicked into preforming the numbers I felt a lot less scared and nervous as I just pretended that no one was there. I personally think that as an individual I did a good job in preforming the numbers that I did and executed them skilfully. However there is a lot of space where I can improve, for example using my face and looking up a bit more. But in this being my first ever flash mob that I had taken part in I believe that I handled it well and did a good job.

As a cast, a lot of us were nervous but we worked together and over came our nerves, which were a lot harder for some to overcome. When it comes to how well we did as a whole, I personally think that we did a good job and preformed the numbers very effectively, especially as some of us had never preformed in that space before.

I enjoyed doing the flash mob and would love to do more as I think it will really help my confidence as a performer.
